An Autumn Day in Lincoln Park …

Only have 24 hours to spend in Lincoln Park, Chicago? These are our favorite highlights of this beautiful neighborhood.

Where to stay: Hotel Lincoln

Part of the JvD by Hyatt brand, this boutique hotel has it all. From the onsite restaurant (The Kennison) to the Rooftop Bar (The J Parker) there’s nothing not to love about this hotel. It’s close to everything Lincoln Park has to offer as well as anywhere downtown. So grab a cup of jo’ from Elaine’s Coffee Bar – located conveniently in the hotel’s lobby – and get your day started!

First Stop: Lincoln Park Zoo

Begin your day at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Free admission (since its inception in 1868!). This renowned zoo is home to hundreds of animals from around the world. Spend time observing the majestic lions, watch the polar bears swim, and don’t forget to stop by the primate house to say hello!

Next up – Lunch! All Too Well

Grab a sandwich at this little neighborhood shop, we promise you won’t regret it. May we suggest the “Del Smoke” sandwich, hint-hint nudge-nudge ?

The afternoon: Chicago History Museum

Head over to the Chicago History Museum, founded by the Chicago Historical Society (one of Chicago’s oldest cultural institutions) and learn about the very city you are visiting (or already live in!). View manuscripts, paintings, and historical artifacts as you immerse yourself in the city’s culture and history.

Next up – Retail Therapy!

Walk over to the shops on Armitage and Halsted and indulge in some retail therapy. Here you can find boutique shops with everything from home decor and interiors to clothing, shoes and leather goods.

At this point you’ve had a full day. Head back to your hotel and get ready for the evening. Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone if you need a quick nap!

Happy HourThe J Parker

As that 5:00pm bell rings there’s no better place (not to mention convenient) than the rooftop bar. Take the elevator up to the roof and grab a cocktail, coffee or glass of wine and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic lake and city views.

Dinner at –  Boka

This Michelin Starred gem of a restaurant is phenomenal. From the beautiful ambiance the second you enter this restaurant to the unparalleled service, whether you choose their seasonal tasting menu or order a la’ carte your meal will be an unforgettable experience.

With its picturesque tree-lined streets, proximity to the lake and downtown, not to mention the restaurants, culture and shopping it’s no wonder Lincoln Park is also home to some of the best real estate Chicago has to offer.  So if you’re in the market please don’t hesitate to reach out below!
